Steve and I have been on countless short rides through the years, but as for long-distance rides and tours, we haven’t had as much experience together. So far, we’ve been on two motorcycle tours and several full-day rides.
Our first tour was in August, 2015, riding our beautiful burgundy 1999 BMW K1200 LT. We rode up to Canada with a group of friends from my work and headed down the coast on the way back. A couple of months after our trip, a wildfire roared through part of our property and totally destroyed our shop and our motorcycle too. đ
Our next trip was planned not long after Steve picked up another bike, this time choosing a BMW K1200GT in a bright yellow. This trip was suggested by my workmate, Andy Spliethof, and it turned out to be something extra special–a photography-centric adventure just for the three of us. It turned out to be an wonderful experience for all of us and an unforgettable trip to me, because I learned to take pictures from behind Steve while we rode along!
One of the greatest things about living in southern Oregon is that we have gorgeous places to ride in every direction. In fact, the very road that we live on is a scenic road which is a popular rout for local motorcycle and bicycle clubs. Therefore, we can do day-trips to many lovely areas, and now that we have a website and I can take pictures while we ride as well as wherever we stop, we will be documenting all of our trips with photography and trip notes!
